The Circle Weevil Trap
We are incredibly proud of my Grandfather, Edmund Circle (pictured below), the creator of this easy-to-manage method of monitoring and trapping pecan weevils.
According to the National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service, his simple trap has proven to be reliable as a monitoring tool.
The Circle Trap is designed to monitor for the emergence of the weevil so timely and accurate spraying can be done to control the pest. The trap itself is not a “only tool” to control the insect, just a monitoring device. When used properly it allows for more pin-point accuracy in the spraying saving the grower time and money in pesticide and application costs….
